The two-mile wide beach at Westward Ho! is just three miles away, as is the pretty village beach at Instow. A ferry runs from Instow, taking passengers across the estuary to the neighbouring fishing village of Appledore, where visitors will find several bistros and a pretty quay where they can watch the fishermen return with the day’s catch.
