The village also has an array of restaurants, bars, shops, cafes and amusements. The market town of Bideford is just a short drive away with an abundance of cafes, pubs, and the famous pannier market. The beautiful fishing village of Appledore is also nearby, where visitors can enjoy a relaxing day trip pottering around the shops, strolling along the quay, and perhaps catching the ferry across to the neighbouring village of Instow with its yacht club and beach.
