Battle, another pretty market town is close by, as is the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which boasts an abundance of beautiful walks and scenery. This is a fantastic base from which to explore the Kent and East Sussex coastline, with the seaside town of Hastings with its award-wining beach and pier only nine miles away.
