Nestling amidst stunning lakes and an abundance of wildlife, this lovely lodge provides great base from which to explore North Devon and Cornwall and is just a short drive from the coast.
Set in the heart of the Devon countryside, surrounded by woodland, lakes and wetlands. Visit the unique fishing village of Clovelly with its steep cobbled streets and quaint harbour, or the seaside town of Bude which is a short drive away. Alternatively take a trip on the Oldenburg to the wild and rugged island of Lundy. The pretty coastal villages of Appledore and Instow are also well worth a visit and offer a variety of fish restaurants, bars and delicatessens. Other attractions such as Hartland Abbey and Hartland Quay, The Milky Way, The Big Sheep Adventure Park, Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor are also within easy reach.
Two steps lead onto the gated veranda to this single storey water’s edge lodge. The glass porch area is not only perfect to store coats, wellies and walking boots, but is ideal for sitting with a good book whilst admiring the views over the lake. Head on through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer and dishwasher. The lounge has comfortable seating and a log effect electric fire for those cooler evenings and here relax and catch up on your favourite programme on the TV. Located off the lounge are the two bedrooms: one double and one bunk room. A shower room with jet-spray shower and WC completes the offering inside the property.
After a busy day, sit and relax on the balcony which overlooks the picturesque lake. To the side of the property is a grassy area which is ideal for evening barbecues. With the lake just a couple of meters away this really is a fisherman’s heaven.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
