You will also be perfectly placed to explore the whole of Dartmoor National Park, 'England’s last wilderness' teaming with myths, legends and mystery, on foot, bike or horseback - discover amazing far-reaching views, rugged tors to climb and wildlife aplenty. Just 8 miles away, Roadford lake is the South West’s largest lake for water sports and offers brown trout angling too. Other attractions accessible from here include the historic naval city of Plymouth where you can take a tour of the oldest gin factory in the UK and wander around the ever popular Barbican and Hoe, plus Buckland Abbey, Dartmoor Prison and Morwellham Quay.
