Outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element with both Exmoor and Dartmoor easily reached by car, and the nearby Tarka Trail, a haven for walkers and cyclists. The coast is never far away and the golden sands of Westward Ho! and Saunton are well worth a visit. Other attractions in the area include the historic Cavalier town of Torrington, Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Bideford, and from here you can enjoy day trips to Lundy Island on the MS Oldenburg, Tapeley Park, and numerous National Trust properties.
