The Georgian market town of Holt is a fantastic base. Situated a short drive from the Norfolk coastline, and within easy reach of the glorious countryside, Holt offers a great array of restaurants, shops, historic buildings, art galleries and pubs. Holt Country Park and Spout Hills are close by, they offer the chance for families to explore with their dogs. Take a trip on the North Norfolk Railway, visit the watermill at Letheringsett or explore the ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle. Head to the coast to explore, walk or bird watch at Wells-next-the-Sea, Morston, Burnham Overy Staithe, Salthouse, Cromer and Brancaster. Other attractions slightly further afield include Holkham, Felbrigg and Blickling Hall, Pensthorpe Natural Park, Norwich, Sandringham, and Blakeney Quay, where you can catch a boat to see the seals at Blakeney Point.
