Description

The converted coaching inn, set in the Cairngorms national park, is the perfect place for a family getaway all within its own private three-acre grounds.

Situated in the Cairngorms National Park finding activities is not difficult as there is plenty on offer such as horse riding, mountain biking, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, water sports and much more within close proximity. Local attractions nearby include the outdoor Highland Folk Museum, Speyside Steam Railway and head to Glenlivet whisky distillery. Only a short drive away are the golf courses at Boat of Garten and Abernethy where you can play a round or two or to enjoy something to eat or drink. Head out on highland walks from the property or drive to Aviemore or Grantown on Spey, just over 6 miles away, to soak up the scenery and have your pick of restaurants, pubs and shop’s.

Enter into the porch area and kick off those boots after a day venturing out into this wonderful region. Head into the hall and take your pick, the left of the ground floor holds the lounge with a wood burning stove, two sofa’s, arm chair and a window seat along with a TV (Sky included) which is the best place to be after a day out. The open plan dining area is the ideal place for a spot of breakfast with panoramic views of the garden and the many birds. The kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a family feast with range style electric oven and hob, large fridge, microwave, dishwasher and slow cooker. At the rear of the property is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer and plenty of drying space for wet clothes after a day on the hills. Back out into the hall and through to the king-size bedroom with sofa and TV. The neighbouring shower room with WC which can either be en-suite or a jack and jill for when you are outside. Heading upstairs to the first floor we have on the right a bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. There is then a double with single bed, a single room at the back and a final double bedroom with a mamas and papas cot bed.

Explore the gardens and further 2 acres to appreciate this wonderful location and make the most of the wonderful Julian Christian Thatched Hut with heater, patio and garden areas with gas BBQ. There is a secluded patio which is the ideal spot if you wish to hire a hot tub to make your stay extra special. Ample private parking, electric vehicle charging point and a storage shed for bikes and ski’s.
