Description

Perfect for couples or families, this light and high-tech bungalow boasts open plan living space, spectacular views and a sought-after location with wonderful walks direct from the doorstep.

Wenallt is a ridgetop retreat touching the edge of woodland and looking up to the Black Mountains. The property is a converted artist's studio nesting on a high ridge in a location of outstanding natural beauty between the Usk and Wye valleys, allowing easy access to the gateway to Wales market towns, castles, rivers, and mountains. The location offers a viewpoint for both the changing patterns of light across landscape, and the swooping of birds of prey and night-time owls.

This property is a walker’s paradise. Backing onto Chepstow Park Woods, ancient pathways lead down to the majestic Cistercian Tintern Abbey (5 miles), while easy footpaths and cycle trails abound. The ancient Forest of Dean (16 miles), Monmouth (9.5 miles) and Symonds Yat (18 miles) are all a short drive away, perfect for horse riding, canoeing or even whitewater rafting. The local village of Devauden (1 mile) is home to a shop, while charming pubs and restaurants are dotted around the surrounding countryside. Take in some local history with a visit to Raglan Castle (8 miles) or explore the underground working coal mine of Big Pit (23 miles). A good choice of amenities can be found in nearby Chepstow (7 miles).

The single storey layout with bi fold doors opening onto the panoramic view and patio for a relaxed combination of indoor - outdoor living. A natural eco environment capturing all year round sun and light, the indoor and outdoor spaces include space for meditation and peace. A gated property, once the gates are closed provides 1/3 acres of grass and woodland as completely secure retreat space. Two outdoor mediation platforms. The eco hot tub is fired up to provide evening outdoor therapy and star gazing onto clear night skies; it features in the top ten "hot tubs with views" Visit Wales site for 2020.

The owner is a qualified aromatherapist and sound healer who can offer private holistic health consultations and treatments, plus woodland meditative walks as additional resources during guest stays.

Awe-inspiring both inside and out, this unique property has been expertly designed to make the most of its breath-taking elevated position. Prepare delicious meals in the contemporary kitchen area, which contains an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. This property boasts two well-presented bedrooms, one king-size and one double, both of which offer ample storage space. The bedrooms share a shower room.

Bi-fold doors open from the living area onto a sunny terrace, offering an al fresco feel all year round. Here you will find garden furniture for al fresco meals, sun loungers for those balmy days and a wood-fired hot tub for soothing sore muscles after long walks.
