The town boasts an excellent range of independent and bespoke shops, art galleries, award-winning eateries, friendly inns and a lovely golf course. The immediate area is a walkers and bikers paradise with direct routes on the Southern Upland Way and the Lammermuir Hills to explore. Fishermen will be delighted with the nearby River Leader and River Tweed which are renowned for their excellent salmon and trout fishing.
