Bude Sandymouth Beach is approximately 2km long and consists of a pebble beach with a vast expanse of sand in front, which is covered at high tide. The beach is bordered by high cliffs and features rock-pools, making it an ideal spot for exploration. Access to the beach is via a moderately steep stony track from the car park.
The beach is situated on the north coast of Cornwall and is one of several beaches in the area, including Northcott Mouth and Crooklets Beach, which join up at low tide. The beach is backed by pebbles and cliffs, and features waterfalls from small streams that flow to the beach. The unique rock formations, known as the Bude Formation, can be found at Northcott Mouth.
The beach is popular with surfers, dog walkers, and visitors alike, who come to enjoy the beach's scenic views and range of activities. The beach's proximity to nearby attractions and amenities also make it a favourite among holidaymakers.
Bude Sandymouth Beach is on the Hartland (Cornwall) Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
