This stylish cottage lies on the edge of the pretty Exmoor village of Porlock. It’s perfectly located for exploring both the National Park and the stunning Somerset coastline.
Set in an elevated position and accessed via external stone steps, this impressive property provides a peaceful countryside break. The village offers a quirky selection of shops, restaurants and tea rooms, while a stroll down to Porlock Weir will bring you to an idyllic working harbour. From here you can walk to Porlock Marsh or Culbone, home to England’s smallest church. For the beach, head to Minehead, while Blue Anchor offers harbour fishing and boat trips. You can also fish at Wimbleball Reservoir. Other nearby attractions include Dunster Castle and many National Trust properties.
The contemporary accommodation, where the approach is steep, offers a spacious living space, with plenty of room for a family or small group of friends. In the lounge you’ll find a TV/DVD and a woodburner, perfect for cosy evenings in, while there’s also a sun room which is a great spot for curling up with the latest bestseller. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need during your stay, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. There’s also a utility room with a washer/dryer should you need it during your stay. The dining room has ample seating for you to sit and enjoy a tasty meal together. Also on the ground floor is a shower room with WC, while upstairs is a bathroom with slipper bath, separate shower and WC. There are also three bedrooms - two king-size and one twin.
Step outside into the enclosed terraced garden, which is accessed via steep stone steps. You’ll find a lawned area, and further steps lead up to a patio area with garden furniture. It’s a great spot for an al fresco dinner or for your morning coffee. Parking is available approximately 50 - 100 metres from the property either roadside or in a layby.
