Ramblers, dog walkers and cyclists can enjoy leafy footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes. Stroll to Halsdon Wildlife Nature Reserve. Pick up the Tarka Trail. See otters, kingfishers and salmon on the River Torridge. War Horse Valley and fishing are near by. The coast, Exmoor and Dartmoor, not far by car. Fabulous golden sands at Westward Ho! Saunton, Croyde and surfing too. The Moors, beauty abounds, wonderful for outdoor enthusiasts. Treat yourself to Devon cream teas, shop in Devon’s unique Pannier markets, take river-boat rides. Step into this 'olde worlde' cottage and you will be welcomed into the large lounge/diner, offering an interesting mix of both old and new with exposed beams and a stone inglenook fire place enhanced by rich soft furnishings. After a full day why not light the wood burner and snuggle up on the sofa, there is a Smart TV just perfect for a good old-fashioned movie or enjoy a romantic meal for two whilst the wood burner crackles in the background. Step up into the kitchen which was newly fitted in 2019, fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher. From the kitchen take the steep spiral staircase up to the roof terrace. Heading back towards the lounge/diner on your right you will find a spacious shower room, which is fully tiled and offers a shower, heated towel rail and WC. When night falls climb the stairs to the timbered master bedroom, a room that’s simply charming with a king-size bed that will welcome you a great night’s sleep. A second bedroom is on offer which can be used as a lounge/dressing room or bedroom with two futons that can sleep two children. This quaint, beautifully presented cottage awaits you with a warm welcome.
The roof terrace can be enjoyed throughout the day, whilst reading the paper with your morning coffee, or an afternoon cocktails in the sun, this delightful decked roof terrace is prettily adorned with flowers and climbing plants. Roadside parking can be found outside the property, subject to availability.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
