Fermain Beach sits at the base of a beautiful wooded valley and leads onto some of the most spectacular cliffs on the island. The bay has fantastic views across to the islands of Sark, Brecqhou, and Jersey in the distance. This scenic beach is backed by low cliffs and dense woodland, giving it a distinct character that differs from most of Guernsey's better-known beaches. The waters here are crystal clear, making them very tempting for bathers.
Fermain Beach can be accessed either by boat or via a cliff-top path from St Peter Port, a trek which rewards the walker with some stunning coastal views. At the top of the slipway, visitors can find the award-winning Fermain Beach Café, a popular seafood eatery that was once a humble kiosk. In peak season, it is advisable to book a table well in advance.
The bay is perfect for swimming, and its unique location and scenic views make it an ideal spot for those seeking a relaxing and picturesque beach experience.
