Gairloch Beach is a picturesque and secluded sandy beach located in a rugged moorland and mountainous area, offering stunning views out over The Minch. .

Gairloch Beach is a sheltered, spectacular sandy beach with large dunes and heather to the rear. The beach is accessed via a wooden boardwalk from a car park located beside a well-maintained 9-hole golf course.

The beach is set amidst rugged moorland and mountainous scenery, making it a popular destination for boating, walking, and other outdoor activities. There are plenty of footpaths in the area, allowing visitors to explore the surrounding countryside.

The beach has a free car park located next to the Gairloch Golf Club, as well as public toilets and showers. A wooden boardwalk provides access to the beach, cutting through the sand dunes behind it.

In 2017, Gairloch Beach was given Designated Bathing Waters status after a successful campaign against plans to discharge sewage into the loch. The proximity of the Gulf Stream means that the waters are relatively warm in summer, but this can also bring jellyfish to the area. Visitors are advised to look at these creatures but not to touch them, as some can sting.

The village of Gairloch is located about a mile to the north of the beach and offers a range of amenities, including pubs, restaurants, and places to stay. There is also a caravan park in the area, as well as the Gairloch Heritage Museum, which tells visitors about the history of the area. Marine wildlife tours can be booked, leaving from Gairloch Harbour, including glass-bottom boat trips and whale-watching expeditions.
