Red Point North beach is characterised by its distinctive red-hued sand and is a mix of sand and shingle, bordered by outcrops and dunes. The beach is situated approximately 10 miles south-west from Gairloch and can be accessed by driving to the beach car park in the settlement of Redpoint at the end of the B8056.

From the car park, visitors can take a short scramble up the path leading to the viewpoint, which offers excellent views over to the Isle of Skye on fine days. To reach the beach, take the path through the sand dunes for a few hundred metres until a gap in the dunes brings you to the North Beach.
