Perranporth Village End Beach is located at the southern end of Perran Sands and is approximately 700 metres wide. The beach is backed by a formidable dune system and a stream flows across the beach to the sea. The beach is easily accessible, with a large car park close to the sand and a pub, the Watering Hole, situated literally on the beach.
The beach boasts an enormous expanse of golden sand and is one of Cornwall's best-known and most popular beaches. At low tide, the beach extends from Droskyn Point to Penhale Point, just over 2 miles. The stretch towards Penhale is backed by a dune system that includes St Piran's Cross and the ruins of an ancient church. These dunes are also home to an array of wildlife, from lizards to butterflies.
At the southern end of the beach, there are some interesting rock formations with a couple of large arches and several stacks. Chapel Rock, situated in the middle of the beach, features a small tidal bathing pool.
In comparison to other beaches in the area, such as Sandy Mouth Beach, Perranporth Village End Beach offers a longer stretch of golden sandy beach with better surfing conditions. Sandy Mouth Beach, on the other hand, is a long pebbly beach backed by high cliffs with rocky outcrops and a sandy beach exposed at low tide.
The dune system behind Perranporth Village End Beach is home to a variety of wildlife, including lizards and butterflies. The beach and surrounding area are also notable for their historical features, including St Piran's Cross and the ruins of an ancient church.
Perranporth Village End Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
