The chalk landscape of the South Downs reaches its easternmost end here, terminating in the impressive sea cliffs of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters. A marine conservation area shelters rare underwater life.
Sussex Heritage Coast was designated in April 1973. It is managed by Natural England.
