Mablethorpe Town Beach is located just south of the Humber estuary and Spurn Heritage Coast, boasting a huge sandy beach with fine golden sand. The beach is lined with a pleasant promenade, offering a lively location with amusement arcades, a fun fair, and donkey rides.
The beach offers a range of facilities and activities, including beach huts, a boating lake, a water play area in Queens Park, sailing, paddle boating, a traditional funfair, and a crazy golf course. Visitors can also enjoy market day on Fridays, with stalls selling local produce and souvenirs. For water sports enthusiasts, Mablethorpe Beach offers kayaking, paddleboating, windsurfing, and sailing.
Safety is assured, with lifeguards attending the beach and sufficient access for prams and wheelchairs. The beach is also suitable for canoeing or kayaking, and the southern edge is popular with surfers.
Events are held regularly on the beach, including sandcastle contests, fireworks, bike racing, and illumination switch-ons. The busiest part of the beach is officially designated dog-free between 1 May and 30 September, while the far end towards Sutton is quieter and allows dogs all year round.
There are public toilets on the central promenade, open between 7am and 9pm in summer, and closed during the winter. Pay and display parking is available close to the beach, and a Beach Train shuttle service operates from the North End car park close to the Seal Sanctuary.
