It provides good bathing areas and is easily accessed via means of a cliff lift, cliff paths or level promenade from nearby Boscombe. The beach is sandy with some shingle and has no sudden shelves or rip currents. A good range of facilities is provided and the attractive Southbourne Grove shopping centre is situated within easy walking distance from the cliff top through Fisherman's Walk ornamental gardens. The presence of lifeguards and the zoning of watercraft away from swimmers increases safety when bathing. Free LV= Kidzone children’s safety wristbands are available from the beach office.
Bournemouth Fisherman's Walk Beach is adjacent to the Bournemouth Coast Path.
