The beach offers a range of activities, including children's games, crazy golf, windsurfing, sailing, and paddle boats. A swimmers-only zone is designated, and lifeguards are on duty during the summer season.

The beach has a water sports academy and cafes nearby, providing something for everyone. For visitors with mobility issues, Poole's beaches offer a ramp and specialised beach wheelchairs, available for hire with 24 hours' notice. Barbecues are also restricted to certain times, and visitors should check safe disposal guidelines. Open fires and camping are not allowed at any time.
