Cayton Bay Beach is a long rural sandy beach situated on the Yorkshire coast. It is one kilometre in length with a gentle slope. At low tide rocky outcrops and large areas of the beach become exposed and the water's edge can be some distance away. Behind the beach is a steep cliff and a number of caravan parks and farms on the cliff top. The beach is popular with surfers and windsurfers. WWII fortifications are of historical interest.
