Danes Dyke Beach is located on the southern side of the Flamborough headland, approximately one mile west of South Landing. The beach is 230 metres in length and is surrounded by high chalk cliffs. It is composed of sand and pebbles, with some rock pools exposed at low tide, making it an ideal spot for marine wildlife enthusiasts.
The beach is nestled in a bay and backed by cliffs, offering views across Bridlington Bay to the south. It is situated in front of the Bridlington Golf Course and near the Danes Dyke Nature Reserve. The beach is made up of large white stones, known as 'Hag stones', which are characterised by small holes in many of them.
A car park with a toilet and kiosk is accessible via a track leading off Bridlington Road. From here, several paths through the woodlands lead down to the beach. However, the descent to the beach may be challenging for those with mobility problems. Additional facilities and places to eat or drink can be found in either Flamborough or Bridlington.
Visitors can enjoy the woodland trails, which offer the opportunity to spot squirrels or even the occasional deer. The beach is also a good spot for hunting marine wildlife in the rock pools. Golf enthusiasts can take advantage of the nearby Bridlington Golf Links course.
Danes Dyke Beach is on the Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast.
