Church cliff Beach is at the eastern end of the town, and is approximately 100 metres wide and backed by rock armour that protects the promenade. The River Lim flows across the beach, which is sandy in places and covered at high tide. An extensive rock ledge full of rock pools is exposed at low tide.
Lyme Regis Church Cliff Beach is on the Jurassic Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
