Seatown Beach is a picturesque and relatively quiet shingle beach located on the Dorset coast, offering a unique experience for visitors. .

Seatown Beach is situated in Lyme Bay, approximately 900 metres wide, and is set in a bay with a steep shingle shoreline. The beach is backed by blue Lias cliffs, which are considered unsafe and dangerous to climb. A notable feature of the beach is the River Winniford, which flows into the sea at its centre.

The beach is located near the village of Chideock, at the end of a country lane, and is part of the coastal hamlet of Seatown. This hamlet is situated just east of Golden Cap, the highest point on England's south coast. The beach is privately owned but open to the public.

Seatown Beach is popular for collecting fossils and shore fishing, rather than sunbathing. The steeply shelving shingle beach and strong undertow, even when waves are small, mean that caution is advised for visitors. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach. Nearby, the Anchor Inn, a multi-award-winning pub, offers a range of seafood and ales.

The beach is relatively quiet, with a nearby holiday park. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for exploration, particularly for children, with the river and beach providing a variety of activities.

Visitors to Seatown Beach should be aware of the potential dangers, including the steep bank and strong undertow. Additionally, the blue Lias cliffs backing the beach are considered unsafe and dangerous to climb.

Seatown Beach is on the West Dorset Heritage Coast and the Jurassic Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
