Monreith Beach forms a long, wide, sandy beach backed by a rocky area and cliffs which lead up to the small village of Monreith. The beach is popular for swimming in the summer and fishing throughout the year.
The beach offers a range of activities, including swimming, fishing, and exploring the many rock pools and caves that line the coastline. One of the most famous caves in the area is known as "Butcher's Cave". The beach is also a popular spot for walkers, particularly at low tide when large stretches of sand are exposed.
The coastline is home to a variety of bird species, and visitors may be able to spot many different types of birds during their visit. Historic Barsalloch Fort can be found just to the north of the beach.
There is some roadside parking available at the eastern end of the beach, which is reached down a long flight of steps.
