Brighouse Bay features a mostly sandy beach, approximately 300 metres long, with several rocky sections. The beach is situated at the northern end of a long, narrow, and sheltered bay, and offers excellent views of the surrounding rural area. Visitors can explore rockpools on the outcrops that jut into the sea, making it an ideal spot for those interested in marine life.
The beach has its own car park, located in a wooded area at the western end, which provides toilets and a short track leading through the trees to the beach. The surrounding area offers a range of activities, including walking and golfing. A circular walk starts at the beach, travelling along the cliff tops and then inland, providing stunning views of the rural landscape. To the west of the beach is a holiday park and Brighouse Bay Golf Club.
The main attractions of the beach and the surrounding area are the rural views and the opportunities for walkers. The beach's unique combination of sandy and rocky sections, along with its sheltered location, make it an ideal spot for those looking to explore the natural beauty of the area.
