Mossyard Beach is a small, sandy bay, slightly less than 100 metres long, situated next to the Mossyard Holiday Park at the northern end of the mouth of Fleet Bay. The beach is surrounded by rocky outcrops, which are home to many rock pools that can be exciting to explore.
The beach is popular for boating, and small boats can be launched from the shore. Visitors can also enjoy a range of activities offered by the nearby Laggan Outdoor Activity Centre, which cater to children of all ages. A small car park is available next to the beach for convenient parking.
The area is popular for walking, with Galloway Forest National Park located to the north. For those looking for facilities such as places to eat and stay, Gatehouse of Fleet, a few miles drive north east of the beach, offers a range of options.
