Cullen Bay, located on the north-east coast of Scotland, is a picturesque destination known for its attractive sandy beach and unique rock formations. .

Cullen Bay is home to an attractive, golden sandy beach situated to the west of the village of Cullen. The beach overlooks Cullen Bay, providing some degree of shelter from strong currents, making it an ideal spot for swimming and snorkelling.

The beach is famous for its distinctive rock formation, known as The Three Kings beach stack. According to legend, these 4 metre tall quartzite stacks are the grave stones of three Norse Kings who died at the Battle of Bauds in 962. Visitors can also enjoy water sports such as surfing and sailing, as well as fishing and walking along the coastline.

At low tide, numerous rockpools become exposed, offering a fun and educational experience for children to explore. The coastline is also known for its dolphin sightings, with pods occasionally spotted jumping in the surf. For those planning a visit, free parking is available underneath the railway viaduct, which provides direct access to the beach. Toilets and picnic areas with tables can be found nearby, along with dog bins.

The historic railway viaduct has been incorporated into the national cycle network, which passes the beach. Further amenities, including pubs, restaurants, and accommodation, can be found in the village of Cullen, which boasts a rich history dating back over one thousand years. Cullen Links Golf Club is also located behind the beach, offering stunning views of the bay.

Cullen Bay is adjacent to the Moray Coast Trail.
