Findhorn Beach, located on the Moray coastline, is a popular destination for those seeking a mix of natural beauty, outdoor activities, and wildlife spotting opportunities. .

Findhorn Bay is situated in a sheltered estuary renowned for its birdlife, particularly migrating wildfowl. The beach is a favoured spot for watersports and coastal ramblers, with the Local Nature Reserve being managed by local people.

The beach boasts a long, unspoilt sandy stretch of shore, which, when the tide is out, reveals a wide expanse of flat sand ideal for taking bracing walks. As the tide comes in, most of the sand is covered, leaving just the top of the beach, which is more pebbly. Visitors can engage in various water sports, boating, and explore the surrounding area, which offers excellent walks and opportunities for wildlife watching.

The area is frequented by seabirds, including migrating wildfowl, and there is also a chance of spotting seals at low tide along the sand bank at the river estuary. This stretch of coastline is well known for its resident dolphins. With a pair of binoculars, visitors may spot something of interest.

Parking is available to the north of the village of Findhorn, near the marina, offering access to the beach along a short path over a sand dune. The village provides a range of facilities, including pubs, places to eat, places to stay, a caravan park, and the Findhorn Heritage Centre, a small museum showcasing the history of the area. Since 1962, the village has also been home to an eco-friendly community.

Findhorn Beach is adjacent to the Moray Coast Trail.
