Findochty is an old fishing village that has maintained its authentic character, despite the fishing fleet being replaced by mainly leisure-sailors. The village features a quaint harbour, a small rocky beach to the west, and a sheltered sandy beach. The beach is backed by a small caravan park and offers stunning views of the Moray Firth.
The village provides a range of facilities, including roadside parking adjacent to the harbour along Commercial Street, as well as parking to the west of the harbour along Jubilee Terrace. Public toilets, a children's playground, and a pub are also available. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, such as walking along the cliff-top path, which offers spectacular views to the east of the village to the town of Portknockie. The path also features many caves and inlets, as well as a wide variety of sea birds to be spotted. Additionally, the village has a shop, a pharmacy, and a post office.
Findochty Beach is adjacent to the Moray Coast Trail.
