Harwich Sailing Club Beach is situated just south of Harwich Harbour, where the rivers Orwell and Stour enter the sea. The beach is an area of shingle that stretches from east of Navyard Wharf and Harwich Harbour down to Beacon Hill Fort and Cornwallis Battery.
The beach provides a good vantage point for watching birds and boats, although it is not suitable for swimming due to its location on the Stour Estuary. Visitors can enjoy views out towards Felixstowe Harbour and Landguard Point. Nearby attractions include a lifeboat museum and Harwich High Lighthouse, while pubs, restaurants, and a chip shop can be found a short walk away. Wellington Road Car Park offers parking facilities for visitors.
There is also a small sandy seafront in Harwich, which looks across to the Port of Felixstowe.
