Siddick Beach, located near Workington, is a sand and shingle shoreline that offers a unique blend of industrial and natural scenery, popular with fishermen and dog walkers alike.

Siddick Beach is situated 2 miles north of Workington, in a small coastal settlement. The beach itself is a mix of sand and shingle, and is a popular spot for fishing enthusiasts. The shoreline is backed by wind turbines and an industrial estate, which includes chemical plants with prominent chimneys. The railway line runs close to the beach, and significant investment has been made in sea defences to reduce the risk of flooding on the track.

Inland from the beach, visitors can explore Siddick Ponds Nature Reserve, which features two ponds, one freshwater and one brackish. The reedbeds surrounding the ponds are of particular interest to birdwatchers, who come to spot a variety of species, including the rare and secretive Bittern.

Siddick Beach is dog-friendly all year round, allowing visitors to bring their pets along for walks and playtime. The beach is easily accessible, and its proximity to Workington makes it a convenient destination for those looking to enjoy the coastal scenery.

In comparison to Workington Beach, which is located near the mouth of the river and Workington dock areas, Siddick Beach offers a distinctly different experience. Workington Beach features a long sandy stretch backed by shingle and grassy banks, and is suitable for various recreational activities, including walking, beachcombing, and enjoying the coastal scenery. It is also the starting point for the Sea-to-Sea Cycle Route (C2C), a popular cycling path that extends over the Pennines to Sunderland.

Siddick Beach is adjacent to the Cumbria Coastal Way.
