Stevenston Beach is a gently curving sandy beach situated in a bay between the towns of Irvine and Saltcoats. The beach is backed by low, grassy dunes and is part of a Local Nature Reserve. The dunes provide a habitat for a variety of bird and plant life, and visitors can also spot wild flowers in the area during the summer months. To protect the dune system from erosion, fenced footpaths lead down to the beach.
From the beach, visitors can enjoy striking views across the Firth of Clyde towards the Isle of Arran. The beach is conveniently located close to the town centres of Saltcoats and Irvine, as well as Saltcoats harbour, and a good range of amenities can be found in Saltcoats, which is within walking distance of the beach.
