Parton Beach is a small, rocky bay located near the coastal village of Parton in Cumbria, England.

Parton Beach is a rocky bay with an area of sand and shingle revealed at low tide. The beach is composed mainly of pebbles and rocks, and at low tide, an area of sand is exposed. The beach is not a popular spot for visitors and remains quite undeveloped.

The small coastal village of Parton lies just over a mile north of Whitehaven. The village has a rich history, with a port dating back to Roman times. The Romans built Gabrosentum, a small fort on high ground at what is now the northern end of the village. During the 18th century, the port was a busy commercial centre, but a devastating storm in 1795 damaged the harbour, and after this, the village declined in importance.

Whitehaven, located on the Cumbria coast, has sandy beaches to the North and South of the Docks. The beach is popular for fishing, and Maritime Festivals are held regularly. The town of Whitehaven was built on shipping and mining and has a rich maritime past and a number of visitor attractions. Notably, the famous architect, Sir John Rennie, who designed London Bridge, also built Whitehaven’s West Pier.

Near the railway station, a colourful mural on the side of a cottage welcomes visitors who do make it this far. A tunnel under the railway line leads to the beach.
