Silloth Beach, located on the edge of the Solway Firth in Cumbria, is a charming destination that offers a mix of sandy and shingle beaches, scenic views, and a range of activities for visitors.

Silloth Beach is a large flat expanse of sand with some patches of pebbles, backed by dunes to the south and shingle beaches with groynes and concrete sea defences adjacent to the town. The beach is part of a larger area that includes the town's docks, which date back over 150 years. The docks area features extensive sandy beaches, while the town itself has shingle beaches along its seafront.

The town of Silloth was once a popular Victorian seaside resort and still retains many attractive buildings. Visitors can explore the town's man-made harbour, The Green, a large area of greenery that hosts various events throughout the year. The promenade stretches out towards Skinburness, offering fine views across the Solway Firth towards the hills of Southern Scotland.

The beach and surrounding areas are teeming with interesting animal and plant life. Porpoises can sometimes be spotted off the promenade, and in winter, a variety of migrant birds visit the nearby salt-marshes. Watersports enthusiasts can enjoy boat races, jet-ski racing, and sea canoeing, while sea fishing is also available. The town is also a great base for walkers and cyclists, with the Cumbria Coastal Way and Cumbria Cycle Way passing through.

Silloth has a range of facilities for holidaymakers, including B&Bs, hotels, and holiday parks. The town's seafront features a wide promenade lined with trees and steps leading down to the shingle beach. To the south of the town, just past the docks, lies a vast stretch of sandy beach backed by dunes.
