The beach at Elie Harbour links to Earlsferry at low tide, providing almost a mile of uninterrupted golden sand. This beach is an ideal family venue, offering a wide range of facilities and activities. The beach joins the villages of Elie and Earlsferry and sits next to Elie Harbour Beach.
The beach is a centre for water sports and a popular spot for cricket in the summer months. The western side of the beach features a range of huts that back onto gentle sand dunes. The beach is sheltered by the surrounding harbour, making it generally safe for swimming in the gentle seas.
At low tide, the beach is made up of a large expanse of dark-golden sand. At high tide, the sea comes up all the way to the town, and the main section is only accessible via the main street. However, the western side of the beach remains accessible even at high tide. The beach is composed of dark-golden sand backed by dunes, providing a safe location for bathing.
