Felpham Beach is a mostly sandy beach backed by a promenade, with a slipway at the beach. The beach is predominantly a groyned, shingle beach but with sand and rock pools exposed at low water. The Aldingborne Rife crosses the beach at the western end of the bathing water.
The bathing water is situated on the south coast in West Sussex, adjacent to the town of Felpham. The beach is located on the outskirts of the popular seaside resort of Bognor Regis and offers stunning views of the coastline. The beach itself is fairly typical of West Sussex beaches in that it is largely pebble and shingle divided by wooden groynes. As the tide drops out, there are a few rock pools and a large area of sand.
Felpham Sailing Club operates from the slipway at the beach. A cafe and restaurant nearby provide some refreshments. On the western side of the beach, along Blakes Street, you’ll find a range of amenities, including a cafe, public toilets, and a car park. This part of the beach is backed by colourful, blue, yellow, and green beach huts, adding to its charm. The Bognor Regis promenade, which runs along the seafront, is perfect for walking or cycling.
Felpham Beach stretches towards Middleton-on-Sea, offering scenic views of the coastline. The beach is dog-friendly, although there are some restrictions in certain areas – visitors are advised to look out for the signs. Whether you want to soak up the sun, enjoy a peaceful stroll, or take in the scenic views, Felpham Beach is the ideal destination for a relaxing day out.
