Arbroath Victoria Park Beach is a straight rocky beach backed by cliffs, with a sandy area close to the town. The beach is situated north of the harbour and town, and features rock pools and large areas of grass adjacent to the car park.
The beach is a mostly rocky shoreline with some sandy patches along the eastern shore of Arbroath, backed by a small cliff and Victoria Park. At the town end of the beach, there is a stretch of mixed sand and pebbles. When the tide is out, numerous rockpools are exposed, providing a fascinating spot for marine life exploration. A footpath continues past the end of King's Drive and along the Arbroath Cliffs, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Visitors can spot various seabirds and potentially see seals in the surf or basking on the rocks.
The most convenient car park for the beach is located at the end of King's Drive, which also features toilets and a grassy picnic area overlooking the rocky coastline and park. The beach is accessed from the car park via a slipway. The town centre of Arbroath is just a few hundred meters from the beach, providing numerous facilities such as restaurants, pubs, and hotels. Additionally, there is a railway station, a museum about the history of the Bell Rock Signal Tower, and a ruined abbey.
