Easthaven Beach is a mostly sandy beach located next to the village of Easthaven. The beach features rocky sections and a large number of rockpools, which become exposed at low tide, making it an ideal spot for exploration. The beach is a popular destination for swimming, family days out, and sand-castle building.
The beach is also popular with walkers, who can enjoy the coastal footpath that runs along the back of the beach from the village of Easthaven to the town of Arbroath to the north-east. A large car park and public toilets are available behind the beach, and a short path leads to the beach across a flat, grassy plain that is perfect for picnics.
The village of Easthaven has a rich history dating back to at least 1214 as a fishing village. For further facilities, such as shops, places to eat, and a railway station, visitors can head to the town of Carnoustie, which is approximately a mile to the south-west.
