Lyne Sands is a beach located in Northumberland, England, that offers a unique blend of natural and industrial features.
Access to Lyne Sands is available on foot from the northern end of Newbiggin Moore or via the Alcan power station access road. The beach itself is characterised by an area of sand dunes and a stretch of beach with a rocky promontory to the south and rock armour to the north.
The main activities undertaken at Lyne Sands are angling and horse riding. The beach is situated near Newbiggin and is flanked by Lynemouth Power Station at its northern end, which gives the beach an industrial feel. However, the views in the opposite direction are pleasant. The beach is also popular with visitors who are passing through or walking their dogs. Behind the beach, there are low dunes and Newbiggin Golf Club.
Lyne Sands is classified as a sand and shingle beach and is located near Newbiggin-by-the-Sea in Northumberland.
