Waterwynch Bay, located on the South Pembrokeshire coast in Wales, is a picturesque and secluded sandy beach that offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. .

At high tide, the beach on Waterwynch Bay shrinks back to the pebbles, but at low tide, it opens into a large beach with lovely sandy bays to the left and right. The beach is formed from two coves and is backed by a pebble bank, which is all that remains at high tide as the golden sands disappear completely.

The beach is surrounded by cliffs that rise to a height of 300 feet, offering breathtaking views of Tenby, Caldey Island, and Lundy Island. Waterwynch Bay has a rich history, having been associated with the Scottish pirate Paul Jones, who used to anchor in the waters off the bay and use the beach as a landing point.

The beach is accessible only on foot via the Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Footpath, which also takes you along Waterwynch Lane to Monkstone Point and Amroth. The path is scenic, with views of scrub oak, sycamore, larch, and Sitka spruce, but parts of it are very steep and may be challenging for some walkers.

Despite its natural beauty and rich history, Waterwynch Bay Beach is often overlooked in favour of the more popular resort town of Tenby. However, for those willing to make the trip, Waterwynch Bay has much to offer, including its seclusion, tranquility, and stunning views.
