Blackpool South Beach is a popular destination for those seeking a traditional seaside experience, with its sandy beach, lively promenade, and array of amusements and entertainments. .

Blackpool is a resort town located on the north west coast of England in Lancashire. The town is renowned for its brightly lit promenade and three large piers, which boast funfairs, amusements, and entertainments. Blackpool South bathing water is sandy and very flat, with some small grooves caused by the waves, and features a promenade running alongside the beach.

Blackpool South Beach offers a wide expanse of sand, generally quieter than the beaches further up The Golden Mile. The beach is backed by a concrete sea-wall, which forms the base of the promenade that runs all the way along the beach. Along the promenade, there are a series of sculptures and other installations, including a rotating wind shelter designed to provide protection from the sea breezes.

The famous South Pier is located at the end of the “Golden Mile” and features a variety of amusements and rides, including trampolines, roller coasters, dodgems, and waltzers. Behind the promenade, just south of South Pier, is Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach, a giant amusement park boasting “The Big One” - Europe’s fastest and reputedly scariest rollercoaster. The park attracts visitors looking for adrenaline-fueled fun.

Blackpool South Beach is also home to the World’s Biggest Mirror Ball, adorned with 47,000 mirror tiles, which lights up the area at night and is a popular Instagram shot. Dogs are allowed on the beach during the winter months, restricted between North Pier and South Pier from the beginning of May until the end of September.

Blackpool South Beach is adjacent to the Lancashire Coastal Way.
