Nairn Central Beach is a popular family-friendly beach in the charming seaside resort of Nairn, located in the Scottish Highlands. .

Nairn Central Beach is a sandy accessible beach fringed by dunes, offering beautiful views across the Moray Firth to the Black Isles. The coastline is home to a resident school of dolphins, making it a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts. The beach is a popular destination for families, with a paddling pool, tea rooms, and a summer activity programme.

The charming seaside resort of Nairn lies about 16 miles east of Inverness. Visitors will find a range of amenities, including a playpark, putting green, tea rooms, and two Championship golf courses. There are also ice-cream and fish-and-chip stalls. Central Beach is located closest to the town's leisure facilities, making it an ideal destination for those looking for a relaxing day out.

Central Beach has pristine white sands fringed by low dunes, and the climate in this area is surprisingly mild for the Highlands. Visitors can stroll along the promenade, taking in the fine views across the turquoise waters of the Moray Firth. The harbour and beach are a good place for spotting wildlife, including the resident colony of dolphins. Boats from the harbour offer day trippers dolphin-spotting trips during the summer months.

The beach has a marina which opens onto the River Nairn, giving boats access to the sea. A bar and restaurant can be found next to the marina, and a bridge crosses the river onto a wide expanse of clean sand, backed by a holiday village. The beach is popular with families, swimmers, and water-sports enthusiasts.

There are plenty of popular walks in the area, including heading east towards Kingsteps and Culbin Forest, and heading west at low tide to walk to Whiteness Point, a long spit of sand home to a population of seals.

The former fishing town of Nairn boasts two golf courses, a museum, a promenade, and plenty of shops, pubs, and places to eat. Parking is available in the town, and access to Central Beach is easy.
