Eastbourne North Beach, a popular destination for both visitors and residents, offers a unique combination of shingle and sandy stretches, along with a range of local features and amenities. .

The beach is a shingle beach with sandy stretches at mid to low tide. Local features include the pier, bandstand, promenade, and famed Floral Carpet Gardens, which all form part of its resort heritage. The beach is popular with visitors and residents alike, making it a bustling destination.

Located just away from Eastbourne's main stretch is Royal Parade beach. This shingle beach is popular with both residents and visitors alike, although it is usually somewhat quieter than the main Pier beach. The beach offers a range of facilities, including a wide promenade behind the beach, which is popular with skaters, cyclists, and runners. Royal Parade is also a good spot for kitesurfing and windsurfing, as well as sailing, with the local club located right on the beach.

There is good access to the stretch of beach at Royal Parade, along with plenty of parking. Toilets and refreshments are also only a short distance away. Although Royal Parade is generally a very family-friendly beach, please note that it is not life-guarded.

This beach is dog friendly with no restrictions, making it a great destination for pet owners.
