Llanelli Beach is a sandy beach with groynes, located in the Loughor estuary and close to Llanelli docks. The beach is part of the Millennium Coastal Park, a 13-mile long pedestrian walkway and cycle track that offers stunning views of the coastline.
The beach is close to a number of amenities, including a water park, Discovery Centre, and boating lake. Visitors can also find a café and kiosk near the beach. The Millennium Quay Car Park on Traeth Ffordd provides parking facilities, and from there, it is a short walk to the promenade and the beach.
Llanelli Beach offers a range of activities for visitors, including walking along the shore, cycling along the Millennium Coastal Path, and engaging in water sports at North Dock, a recreational area located just east of the beach. The beach is also a great spot for dog owners, as it is dog-friendly all year round.
Visitors to the area should be aware of the potential dangers of quicksands and fast-incoming tides, and should take note of warning notices and tidal tables.
Llanelli is home to a number of attractions, including the Parc y Scarlets stadium, the Millennium Coastal Park, and the Llanelli Wetland Centre.
Llanelli Beach is adjacent to the Wales Coast Path.
