Llanstephan Beach, situated in Carmarthenshire, Wales, is a picturesque destination that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, history, and family-friendly facilities. .

Llanstephan Beach is a sandy bay located on the edge of the Tywi Estuary, one of the three estuaries that open out into Carmarthen Bay, creating extensive tidal sand banks. The beach boasts fine and golden sand, which becomes firmer towards the sea, making it ideal for building sandcastles. The main stretch of the beach is backed by a flat grassy area with picnic benches and a children's play park, making it a great spot for families.

The beach offers a range of facilities, including free parking on the seafront, making it easily accessible. There is also a playground for children, and ice cream vendors to keep everyone cool and refreshed. Visitors can enjoy walking, picnicking, and taking in the natural beauty of the Tywi Estuary. However, swimming is considered dangerous, particularly along the stretch of beach further up the estuary, and visitors are advised not to attempt to cross the estuary, even at low tide.

The beach is overlooked to the west by the ruins of the Norman Llansteffan Castle, which offers great views of the beach and estuary from its remaining tower. Visitors can explore the castle grounds and take in the scenic views. The beach also looks out across the River Towy to Ferryside.

Dogs are allowed on Llanstephan Beach, but there are some restrictions. From May 1 to September 30, dogs are banned from a section at the northern end of the beach.

Llanstephan Beach is adjacent to the Wales Coast Path.
