Abergele Towyn Beach is a predominately shingle beach situated just east of the seaside town of Abergele. The beach is notable for its walks and panoramic seascapes, including views of the Great Orme. On a clear day, it is possible to see across Colwyn Bay and even as far as the Isle of Man.
The beach is a popular family-friendly spot, with a range of typical seaside amusements for children nearby, such as old-fashioned funfairs and amusement arcades. The back section of the beach is made up of a bank of shingle, which, when the tide is out, leads to a large sandy area perfect for making sandcastles or digging around in with a bucket and spade. Dogs can go on the beach all year round, making it a great destination for pet owners.
Shops, cafes, a pub, and toilets are available in Abergele, which is located nearby. The beach is also backed by holiday and caravan parks, making it a popular destination for families. Knightly's Fun Park on the beach front offers rides and entertainment for kids.
Abergele Towyn Beach is adjacent to the Wales Coast Path.
