Watwick Bay is a small, east-facing beach situated at the mouth of Milford Haven. The beach is characterised by its steep slope and sandy composition. Due to its favourable position, Watwick Bay receives the best of the sun during the summer months, although it can become shady later in the day.
The beach features a few caves and rock pools towards its eastern end, making it an ideal spot for exploration. The sheltered bay also makes it a suitable location for windsurfing and sailing. However, it is worth noting that the waters around the bay have a rich history, with numerous shipwrecks reported over the years.
Watwick Beach has limited facilities, with the village of Dale, approximately a mile away, providing amenities such as food and shopping. Alternatively, visitors can access the beach by walking along the coastal path or by boat. The beach is surrounded by rural farmland, with no facilities in the immediate vicinity.
The coastal path offers a scenic route to West Blockhouse Fort, a National Trust property. On summer days, it is common to see small boats anchored in the bay, adding to the beach's picturesque atmosphere.
Watwick Beach is adjacent to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and the Wales Coast Path.
