Traeth Llyfn Beach is situated between Porthgain and Abereiddi on the north coast of the Pembrokeshire peninsula. The beach is accessible by foot via the coastal path, which runs along the clifftop offering stunning views. A set of steep metal stairs, cut into the cliffside by Italian prisoners of war during World War II, provides access to the beach.
The beach is a wide stretch of golden sand, providing ample room for beach activities and allowing dogs to run freely. However, the beach is exposed and the waves can be powerful, with rip currents present. As a result, care should be taken when swimming, and it is essential to be aware of the tide times to avoid getting cut off on certain sections of the beach.
There are no facilities available at Traeth Llyfn Beach, and no lifeguards are present. Visitors should be aware of the strong undercurrents and take necessary precautions when swimming.
Traeth Llyfn Beach is adjacent to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and the Wales Coast Path.
